Take Life while you have it

Life only gives you what you take from it,
Nothing is freely given, except one;
The rest of life is taken by the roots,
Go out and get it, or be left behind.

If you are not satisfied where you are,
Get up, get going, and try something new;
But if you are content where you are now,
Be thankful and be ready for what's next.

Those content probably have something coming,
Also do those who are not yet satisfied;
So always be ready to take life by the roots,
And get all you can out of it while alive.

Life seems to run away,
Do not get left behind,
See what it is today,
Or it will pass you by.

Life is what you get from it,
Not only what is given;
Don't wait to be given life,
Go outside now and take it!
