Fire, burning flame,
Consumes all about;
Nothing hinders it,
Yet all are consumed.

Hopes and dreams of a future,
Now dashed to pieces and broken;
That is my heart, falling apart,
Melting in my hand from hurts.

Tis not a cavern nestled in a now-forgotten planet,
Nor is it a hideaway for a lovable yellow dog;
But tis a concept contrived in the mind of a genius;
Ideas that hold true yet even today, years beyond their birth.

The heart of a woman
None can know;
Save those who care enough
To find it.

Today I'm happier because of you,
Yesterday I was down and out,
Before that, even further gone;
But today I'm happier thanks to you!

Falling for you?
Some could say that;
But I know myself,
And it's not to be.

Thirteen years in preparation,
Countless more as a basis;
Emotions on the line always,
All for what, you may ask me?

Tears welling inside,
Their source left unknown;
Pressure behind eyes,
Waiting to pop through.

The heart is untamable,
It has a mind of its own;
While the mind pushes one thing,
The heart pushes another.

Life only gives you what you take from it,
Nothing is freely given, except one;
The rest of life is taken by the roots,
Go out and get it, or be left behind.
